Kenneth Branagh is bringing his life story to the big screen. The famed actor, director, and screenwriter is currently working on a semi-autobiographical film about his childhood growing up in Northern Ireland, which is rumored to be titled Belfast. Nothing official has been announced yet, but Outlander star Caitriona Balfe recently confirmed the news of the movie (and that she would be playing Branagh’s mother) on social media.
Here’s what else we know so far:
Caitriona Balfe shared the news with an excited tweet.
“I guess the cat is out of the bag!!! So delighted to be working on this special project with this amazing cast and the wonderful Kenneth Branagh. Exciting stuff!” she posted on social media.
